Trips and excursions 🚎
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Homework Centre 📚
Join us at our school Library, the Bidjigal Learning Place on Mondays and Thursdays 3:15pm - 4:30pm for Homework Centre. Students are supervised by a rotating roster of experienced teaching staff. With support from teachers, and access to library resources, students are assisted to complete homework and assessment tasks in a supportive environment.
Gala Days 🏅
Our students take great pride in representing us at exciting sporting gala days! By participating in a variety of sports, they not only have a fun-filled day but also build confidence, enhance their communication skills, and showcase their talents.
Student Representative Council (SRC) 🌟
The SRC exists to provide a forum for students to be represented in making decisions about issues at the school that concern them, aiming to enrich the experiences of all students and build a cohesive and harmonious student community. Regular programs focus on multiculturalism, a bully-free school, health, wellbeing and fun, extra-curricular activities, and school fundraising, with membership requiring active participation in meetings and projects where all students are welcome to contribute!
Drama Club 🎭
Drama Club is held every Friday at lunchtime and students from Years 7-12 are welcome to join. It is an opportunity to engage in an array of individual and small group exercises that centre on developing and building skill in playbuilding, mime, gesture and movement. Students have fun experimenting with improvisation and have exercised skill in thinking on the spot. They develop skill in characterisation and have devised and performed short scripted scenarios during these lunchtime sessions.

They work on a range of repertoire and also develop the skills to read choral sheet music, sing collaboratively and develop technical vocal proficiency. The BHS vocal ensemble is open to all members.

Peer Support 🧑🤝🧑
Students can volunteer and be selected as Peer Support Leaders to support with Year 7 transition. Peer Support Leaders undergo a rigorous interview and selection process. They take part in training and volunteer their time to support their peers and our school.
Environmental Team 🌱
